Softball Recap: Sandia Prep Sundevils vs. East Mountain Timberwolves
After flying high against Zuni on Friday, Sandia Prep came back down to earth. The Sandia Prep Sundevils fell just short of the East Mountain Timberwolves by a score of 24-22 on Saturday. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Friday (20), Sandia Prep still had to take the loss.
Kyrie Lujan was cooking despite her team's loss, going 4-for-6 with a home run, seven RBI, and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Madi Garcia, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 5-for-6.

Sandia Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 1-9. As for East Mountain, the victory got them back to even at 7-7.
Sandia Prep will be playing at home against To'hajiilee at 3:00 p.m. in Tuesday's first game. Sandia Prep is out to stop a 11-game streak of losses at home dating back to last season. As for East Mountain, they will head out on the road to take on Estancia at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
