Basketball Preview: St. Brendan Sabres vs. Killian Cougars
The St. Brendan Sabres's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Killian Cougars at 5:00 p.m. on February 5th. St. Brendan will be strutting in after a win while the Cougars will be coming in after a loss.
St. Brendan put the finishing touches on their tenth blowout victory of the season on Friday. They blew past TERRA Environmental 51-21 on the road.
St. Brendan had a senior duo take command as Gianna Gras scored 13 points and Sofia Toro scored 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Gianna Vindigni, who scored nine points.
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to Killian, who are still winless after their 11th game. They had to suffer through a rough 47-13 loss at the hands of Coral Gables. Killian was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 31-5.
St. Brendan's win bumped their record up to 13-11. As for Killian, their defeat was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-11.
St. Brendan took their victory against the Cougars when the teams last played back in February of 2023 by a conclusive 53-33. Does St. Brendan have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Cougars turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
