Basketball Recap: Henderson Collegiate Takes a Loss

Henderson Collegiate lost against Roxboro Community back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Henderson Collegiate Pride were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 63-62 to the Roxboro Community Bulldogs. The Pride have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Roxboro Community's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from John Little, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and ten boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Ben Wheeler, who posted 16 points.

Henderson Collegiate's loss dropped their record down to 6-14. As for Roxboro Community, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-7.

When Henderson Collegiate and Roxboro Community next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Henderson Collegiate will square off against American Leadership Academy-Johnston and their four-game winning streak at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Roxboro Community will try to stop Voyager Academy's seven-game winning streak when the meet at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
