Captain Shreve came into Friday's match looking for another win against Ouachita Parish, but Montrell Conner wouldn't allow it. The Lions took down the Gators 37-19 on Friday for which the team can thank Conner, who rushed for 154 yards and three scores on only 11 carries, and also threw for 95 yards and a pair of TDs. He is on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in each of the last three games he's played dating back to last season.

Ouachita Parish has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 32.0 points this season. As for Captain Shreve, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.
