Basketball Recap: El Camino Eagles vs. Yuba City Honkers
El Camino was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They received a blow as they fell 62-44 to the Yuba City Honkers.
Yuba City's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ashton Dumaran, who went 6 of 12 on his way to 16 points in addition to eight rebounds and four steals. The dominant performance gave Dumaran a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Alex Saavedra, who went 8 of 18 on his way to 21 points.
El Camino's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Yuba City, their record now sits at 3-5.
El Camino has already played their next contest, a 64-42 win against Sacramento Adventist on the 17th. As for Yuba City, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 56-33 victory against Pioneer on the 17th.
