Baseball Game Preview: Calistoga Wildcats vs. Summerfield Waldorf Mustangs

The Calistoga Wildcats will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against the Summerfield Waldorf Mustangs at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

Last Monday, Calistoga didn't have quite enough to beat Making Waves Academy and fell 5-4.

Miguel Castro spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered five earned runs on two hits and racked up 16 Ks.

At the plate, David Bravo was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.

Meanwhile, Summerfield Waldorf earned a 6-3 win over Victory Christian Academy last Monday.

Summerfield Waldorf saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Luca C, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

The victory got Summerfield Waldorf back to even at 2-2. As for Calistoga, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Calistoga beat Summerfield Waldorf 5-2 when the teams last played back in March of 2024. Does Calistoga have another victory up their sleeve, or will Summerfield Waldorf turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
