Baseball Game Preview: Livonia Bulldogs vs. Hornell Red Raiders

The Livonia Bulldogs will take on the Hornell Red Raiders at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The last three games Livonia has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Livonia's usually-dominant pitching crew will be looking to make up for Monday's struggle, when Le Roy hitters got past them. The Bulldogs fell just short of the Oatkan Knights by a score of 14-13 on Monday. The defeat continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their meetings with the Oatkan Knights: they've now lost three in a row.

Letchworth hit Hornell with a five-run fourth inning on Monday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Red Raiders fell 13-9 to the Legends.

Logan Vondracek and Brody Flaitz did some serious damage despite the final result: Vondracek went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI, while Flaitz got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Sheamus Khork, who got on base in two of his five plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.

Hornell's loss dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Livonia, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-5.

Livonia came out on top in a nail-biter against Hornell in their previous matchup on Thursday, sneaking past 7-5. Will the Bulldogs repeat their success, or do the Red Raiders have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
