Powell proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by six) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Oak Ridge Wildcats, sneaking past 3-2. Powell better thank their lucky stars for the performance of Avery Smith, as she scored every single goal for her team.

Powell has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-3-1 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 43 goals over those eight matches. As for Oak Ridge, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-6-2.
