Baseball Game Preview: Grace Christian School Kings vs. The Covenant Eagles

The Grace Christian School Kings will challenge The Covenant Eagles at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Grace Christian School will be strutting in after a victory while The Covenant will be coming in after a defeat.

Grace Christian School's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. Everything went their way against The Carmel School as Grace Christian School made off with a 10-0 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Kings.

Isiah Ignace was a standout: he scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-1. The team also got some help courtesy of Noble Gladden, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2.

Grace Christian School always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .688. The last time their OBP was this high was since the start of last season.

Meanwhile, The Covenant came up short against Grace Christian on Saturday and fell 12-9. The loss was the Eagles' first of the season.

Hudson Reese put in work while hitting and pitching. He struck out six batters over four innings while giving up three earned runs off three hits. Reese was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Reese wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Will Park, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-4.

Having lost for the first time this season, The Covenant fell to 3-1. As for Grace Christian School, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Monday as neither team is afraid to steal. Grace Christian School has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 5 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like The Covenant struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 6.2 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
