Softball Recap: Martin Drops Season-High Score on Roma

Martin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 19th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 15-5 to the Roma Gladiators. One positive for the Tigers, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Jovahana Torres made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 1-for-2. She also put up an RBI, which was her first of the season. Alyssa Manzanares was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.

Even though they lost, Martin always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .519. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Martin's defeat dropped their record down to 0-18. As for Roma, with the victory, they broke their 13-game losing streak and moved their record to 1-11.

Coincidentally, Martin and Roma will both be playing Palmview the next time they take the field. Roma will head out to face Palmview at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, while Martin will host them at 6:00 p.m. on March 18th.
