            Baseball Recap: Whiting Oilers vs. Hammond Bishop Noll Warriors        
        
		
        
        
            Whiting was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight  loss. They lost  17-2 to the Hammond Bishop Noll Warriors. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup  11-0  on Monday.
  Kasen Dunn made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and  went 1-for-2 with two  stolen bases and one  run. Another player making a difference was  Luke Maley, who  went 2-for-3 with two  stolen bases and one  run.
Whiting's defeat dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Hammond Bishop Noll, the  win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-6.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Whiting will square off against Hammond Academy of Science & Tech at 5:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. The Oilers will need to watch out since the Hawks have now posted at least ten  runs  in their last four games. As for Hammond Bishop Noll, they will face off against Gary West Side at 4:30  p.m.  on Thursday. The Warriors are facing the Cougars at the right time seeing as the Cougars are stuck on  a  six-game losing streak.
