Volleyball Recap: Whitmer's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Tuesday

It was a good run, but Whitmer unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Tuesday. They came up short against the Anthony Wayne Generals, falling 3-0. The Panthers were not able to make up for their defeat to the Generals from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

Whitmer took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-9, 25-15, 25-17.

Jessie Kennelly was the offensive standout of the contest as she had 11 digs and six assists. That's the most assists she has posted over her last six games.

Whitmer's loss dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Anthony Wayne, the victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 12-1.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Whitmer is set to face off against their familiar foe Northview at 6:45 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Anthony Wayne will square off against rival Perrysburg at 5:45 p.m. on Thursday.
