Saugus won the last time they faced Rio Mesa and things went their way on Saturday too. Saugus sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-3 victory over Rio Mesa. The win was familiar territory for the Centurions, who have now won three matches in a row.

Kona Ramsbottom looked comfortable as she pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than one walk in ten consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Bri Coe was excellent, going 1-for-2 with one home run and two runs. Savanna Smith was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.

Saugus' victory bumped their record up to 13-4. As for Rio Mesa, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-5.

Saugus has already played their next game, a 13-1 win against Jurupa Hills on the 29th. As for Rio Mesa, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Thousand Oaks on the 29th.
