Basketball Recap: Mayer Lutheran Comes Up Short

Mayer Lutheran suffered their biggest defeat since February 19th on Saturday. They were beaten by the Waseca Bluejays 97-55. The match marked the Crusaders' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Mayer Lutheran has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-5 record this season. As for Waseca, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 10-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mayer Lutheran will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Heritage Christian at 7:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025. As for Waseca, they will head out on the road to face off against Marshall at 2:30 p.m. on January 4, 2025.
