Soccer Recap: South Garner Starts Season with Victory on the Road

South Garner had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. Their defense stepped up to hand the Rocky Mount Gryphons a 9-0 shutout on Monday. It was an even better day for Henry Melendez as he scored three goals for his team.

Coming up, South Garner will face off against Wake Prep Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Rocky Mount, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Nash Central at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
