Football Recap: Chiles Piles Up the Points Against Suwannee + How To Watch

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Chiles). They blew past the Suwannee Bulldogs 55-28 on Thursday. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Timberwolves' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 144th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 311th).

Chiles' win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Gerald Clark, who rushed for 218 yards and a pair of TDs on only 14 carries. Clark has been hot, having also posted two or more rushing touchdowns the last five times he's played. Gavin Ford was another key signal caller, gaining 229 total yards.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Chiles was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 294 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 166 rushing yards in 11 consecutive contests dating back to last season.

When it comes to explaining why Suwannee lost, don't look at LJ Smith. Despite the final result, he rushed for 91 yards and two touchdowns.

Chiles' victory bumped their record up to 6-4. As for Suwannee, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-9.

As of now, neither Chiles nor the Bulldogs have any future games scheduled.
