Softball Recap: Springfield Spartans vs. Beaver Beavers

The third road matchup was the charm for Springfield, as they earned their first road win of the season. They put the hurt on the Beaver Beavers with a sharp 11-1 win on Thursday.

Sydney Hillyard was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out seven over seven innings pitched. Hillyard was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of her five plate appearances with a double and an RBI.

In other batting news, Springfield got a massive performance out of Kendall Crytzer, who scored four runs while going 3-for-4. Another player making a difference was Alyssa Hochstetler, who scored four runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-4.
