Preview: Piedmont Classical Bobcats vs. Morehead Panthers
The Piedmont Classical Bobcats will be playing in front of their home fans against the Morehead Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Morehead took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Piedmont Classical, who comes in off a win.
Piedmont Classical had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 54-30 margin over Carver.
Keniya Waring and Ge'Kayla Goins were among the main playmakers for Piedmont Classical as the former dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds and the latter scored 17 points along with six rebounds and five steals. Goins is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last four games she's played. Kimari Williams was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with five rebounds.
Meanwhile, Morehead was beaten by McMichael 46-19 on Friday. Morehead has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Piedmont Classical has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a massive bump to their 8-8 record this season. As for Morehead, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-13.
