Baseball Recap: Wilton Takes a Loss

After flying high against North Cedar on Wednesday, Wilton came back down to earth. The Beavers fell just short of the Mid-Prairie Golden Hawks by a score of 4-3 on Thursday. The loss continues a trend for the Beavers in their meetings with the Golden Hawks: they've now lost three in a row.

Wilton's defeat dropped their record down to 10-8. As for Mid-Prairie, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 12-6.

Coming up, Wilton will take on Camanche at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Mid-Prairie, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 13-2 loss against Bettendorf on the 20th.
