Volleyball Recap: St. Mary's-Colgan Comes Up Short

St. Mary's-Colgan lost against Riverton last Monday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Panthers came up short against the Rams, falling 3-0.

The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-15, 25-17.

Bella Ascanio paced St. Mary's-Colgan's offense, picking up 11 kills. Ascanio got some help from Izzy Tierney and her 12 assists. Callie Lundy and Addi Dewey kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with two aces apiece.

St. Mary's-Colgan now has a losing record of 8-9. As for Riverton, the victory (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 18-2.

Coming up, St. Mary's-Colgan will take on Neodesha in a tournament on Saturday. As for Riverton, they will take on Pittsburg at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday.
