Despite a strong season so far, Seminole has seen their luck take a bit of a downturn recently. They took a 36-25 hit to the loss column at the hands of The First Academy Royals on Friday.

It was another big night for Dane Thompkins, who rushed for 169 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 8.9 yards per carry for The First Academy. Those 169 rushing yards gave Thompkins a new career-high. Evan James also helped out as he racked up 142 receiving yards.
Seminole's defeat dropped their record down to 6-2. As for The First Academy, their win bumped their record up to 7-1.
Seminole didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 42-7 victory against Hagerty on the 25th. As for The First Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 48-3 win against Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy on the 28th.
