Altha and Munroe are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2016, but likely not for long. The Wildcats will welcome the Bobcats at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Munroe took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Altha, who comes in off a win.
It was a proper cat-fight when Altha duked it out with Gadsden County on Friday. The Wildcats blew past the Jaguars 25-1. The win continues a trend for the Wildcats in their matchups with the Jaguars: they've now won six in a row.

Mason Hill was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Hill was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with six stolen bases, three runs, and one double. Those six stolen bases gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, Jesse Glover and Will O'Bryan did most of the damage at the plate: Glover went a perfect 3-for-3 with three stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI, while O'Bryan got on base in all four of his plate appearances with five stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. Gauge Edenfield was another key player, going 2-for-3 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one run.
Wakulla Christian School hit Munroe with a ten-run third inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Bobcats came up short against the Saints, falling 13-3. That's two games in a row now that the Bobcats have lost by exactly ten runs.
Munroe saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Christopher Jackson, who went 1-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI. That double was Jackson's first of the season.
Altha's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Munroe, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-6.
Everything went Altha's way against Munroe when the teams last played back in April of 2024, as Altha made off with an 18-5 win. Do the Wildcats have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bobcats turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
