Recap: Munford Lions vs. Talladega Tigers
This season hasn't been kind to the Munford Lions, who are still winless after their tenth match. They had to suffer through a rough 66-32 loss at the hands of Talladega. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Munford in their matchups with Talladega: they've now lost nine in a row.
Trinity Webb continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Talladega, dropping a double-double on 23 points and 12 rebounds. Webb is on a roll when it comes to points, as she's now scored 15 or more in the last 11 games she's played. Another player making a difference was Zae Cunningham, who scored 12 points along with six assists and three steals.
Munford bumped their record down to 0-10 with that loss, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Talladega, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 15-6.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Munford will take on Cleburne County at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Talladega, they will head out on the road to face off against Sylacauga at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Sylacauga will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Alabama Rankings (they are ranked 241st, while Talladega is ranked 108th).
