Basketball Recap: Melbourne Has No Trouble Against Newsome

After losing to Newsome the last time they met, Melbourne decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Melbourne Bulldogs enjoyed a cozy 41-22 victory over the Newsome Wolves on Monday.

Brianna Matthews was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 20 points and ten rebounds. Another player making a difference was Seanna Bakke, who posted six points and six boards.

Melbourne's win bumped their record up to 6-9. As for Newsome, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-7 record this season.

Melbourne will welcome Satellite at 7:00 p.m. on January 7th. As for Newsome, they will square off against Sumner at 6:30 p.m. on January 7th. Newsome is facing Sumner at the right time seeing as Sumner is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
