Basketball Recap: Bremen Takes a Loss

Bremen was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They lost 71-51 to the Hillcrest Hawks. While losing is never fun, the Braves can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 455th, while the Hawks are ranked 102nd).

Bremen's loss dropped their record down to 10-17. As for Hillcrest, their win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-8.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bremen has already played their next game (against Lemont), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Hillcrest will challenge Thornton Fractional North at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Hillcrest knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four matchups -- so hopefully Thornton Fractional North likes a good challenge.
