Basketball Recap: Skowhegan Comes Up Short

If Skowhegan was feeling good fresh off their 69-25 takedown of Mt. Blue last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Skowhegan River Hawks took a hard 47-33 fall against the Hampden Broncos on Thursday. The River Hawks haven't had much luck with the Broncos recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.

Skowhegan's defeat dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Hampden, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Skowhegan will take on Brewer at 6:30 p.m. on January 24th. As for Hampden, they will square off against Nokomis at 6:30 p.m. on January 24th.
