Basketball Recap: Walker Piles Up the Points Against Winder-Barrow + How To Watch

Walker had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They breezed past the Winder-Barrow Bulldoggs to the tune of 86-47 on Saturday. The Wolverines not only won on Saturday, but they posted their biggest win since January 17th (when they won 86-30).

Walker's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from King Daniel Hernandez, who shot 54% from the field on his way to 16 points in addition to eight assists and six boards. That's the most assists Hernandez has posted since back in December of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Lorenzo McCorvey, who dropped a double-double with 17 points and ten rebounds.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Walker is packing up and heading out for their first away game of the season: they will face off against Therrell at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Winder-Barrow, they will venture away from home to take on Berkmar at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
