Soccer Game Preview: Buckeye vs. Lakewood

The Buckeye Bucks will head out on the road to challenge the Lakewood Rangers at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Buckeye's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for 13 straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Saturday just wasn't the day for Buckeye's offense. They lost 9-0 to Padua Franciscan on Saturday. While losing is never fun, Buckeye can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio soccer rankings (they are ranked 380th, while Padua Franciscan are ranked 60th).

Meanwhile, Lakewood kept a clean sheet against Lutheran West on Saturday. They came out on top against the Longhorns by a score of 2-0. That's two games straight that Lakewood have won by exactly two goals.

LLYAS AGHA and YAMAN HALAQ scored both of Lakewood's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 13 goals.

Buckeye's loss dropped their record down to 2-12-2. As for Lakewood, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-5-1 record this season.
