Softball Recap: Lisle Comes Up Short

Thursday just wasn't the day for Lisle's offense. They lost 7-0 to the Coal City Coalers on Thursday. The Lions' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it seven in a row.

Lisle's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Coal City, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season.

Lisle will take on Westmont at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Lions' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Sentinels have averaged an impressive 13.4 runs per game this season. As for Coal City, they will square off against Camp Point Central at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday.
