Soccer Recap: Riverside Comes Up Short

Riverside lost against Perry back in August of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Beavers came up short against the Pirates, falling 4-1. The matchup was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but Riverside couldn't quite close it out.

Their goal came courtesy of Jasmine Flores-Moreno, which was the first she's scored this season.

Riverside now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Perry, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Riverside will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Holy Name at 1:00 p.m. on September 6. As for Perry, they will face off against West Geauga at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. West Geauga will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Perry surely won't give up without a fight.
