Northwest's game last Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They were the clear victors by an 11-2 margin over the Kenwood Knights. The Vikings' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Northwest let Landon Holliman and Damien Berry run wild. Holliman scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3, while Berry went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI. Those two hits gave Berry a new career-high. Cross Newman also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen bases of the season.

With the victory, Northwest broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-11. As for Kenwood, they dropped their record down to 1-7 with the defeat, which was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Northwest will have a chance to go back-to-back against Kenwood: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
