Baseball Recap: St. Charles Comes Up Short

St. Charles made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Southern Maryland Christian Academy, but they still couldn't quite topple them. St. Charles fell just short of Southern Maryland Christian Academy by a score of 4-2 on Tuesday. St. Charles has struggled against Southern Maryland Christian Academy recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Kory Queen was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI. Robert Generette was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one double.

St. Charles' loss dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Southern Maryland Christian Academy, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-7.

Looking ahead, St. Charles will welcome Chopticon at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Braves' pitching crew has only allowed 2.3 runs per game this season, so St. Charles' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
