While Kentwood's victory against Auburn wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Conquerors sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over the Trojans on Wednesday. The victory continues a trend for the Conquerors in their matchups with the Trojans: they've now won five in a row.

The win got Kentwood back to even at 8-8. As for Auburn, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-14 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Kentwood will square off against rival Kentridge at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Auburn is set to take on their familiar foe Mt. Rainier at 7:15 p.m. on Monday.
