Softball Recap: Minico Takes a Loss

Saturday just wasn't the day for Minico's offense. They lost 14-0 to the Kimberly Bulldogs on Saturday. The defeat continues a trend for the Spartans in their meetings with the Bulldogs: they've now lost eight in a row.

Minico saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Addie Poole, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base.

Minico's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Kimberly, the win was the tenth in a row (dating back to last season) for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-0.

Coming up, Minico will be playing at home against Bonneville at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Minico has given up an average of 7 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. As for Kimberly, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 25-1 victory against Filer on the 18th.
