Baseball Recap: Kennedy Comes Up Short

Kennedy managed to slip by Poly the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Kennedy Cougars lost 10-0 to the Poly Parrots on Monday. The contest marked the first time this year in which the Cougars were not able to get on the board.

Kennedy saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Rocky Marin, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base. That hit marked the first that Marin got this season.

Kennedy now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Poly, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought as Kennedy Cougars take on San Fernando Tigers at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Poly, they will take on North Hollywood at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Poly's pitching crew has only allowed 3.2 runs per game this season, so North Hollywood's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
