Baseball Recap: Dow Comes Up Short

Mt. Pleasant hit Dow with a five-run fifth inning on Monday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Chargers fell 8-3 to the Oilers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Oilers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-2 on Monday.

This is the second loss in a row for Dow and nudges their season record down to 12-4. As for Mt. Pleasant, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-6.

While Dow had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
