Baseball Game Preview: Jefferson West Tigers vs. Sabetha Bluejays

The Jefferson West Tigers are taking a road trip to take on the Sabetha Bluejays on Monday. Jefferson West will come into the matchup with an undefeated record on the line.

On Thursday, Jefferson West narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Valley Falls 6-5.

Meanwhile, Sabetha had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over Hiawatha on Thursday.

Isaac Hartter spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on one hit.

At the plate, Mitchel Kramer was excellent, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base and one run. Reid Mitchell also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.

Jefferson West's win was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 17-0. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.9 runs on average over those games. As for Sabetha, their win bumped their record up to 7-9.
