Basketball Game Preview: Oxford Pirates vs. Bartlett Indians

The Oxford Pirates will head out to face off against the Bartlett Indians at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Oxford has given up an average of 56.4 points per game this season, but Wednesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Oxford is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Blackstone-Millville just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Friday. They took a 67-50 bruising from the Chargers.

Meanwhile, Bartlett was able to grind out a solid win over Southbridge on Monday, taking the game 68-58.

Oxford's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Bartlett, their victory bumped their record up to an identical 3-5.

Oxford couldn't quite finish off Bartlett in their previous matchup back in January of 2025 and fell 67-65. Can the Pirates avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
