After flying high against Springfield last Monday, Sheldon came back down to earth. The Sheldon Irish took a 53-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of the McNary Celtics. The Irish's loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Sheldon's defeat dropped their record down to 5-4. As for McNary, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-1.

Sheldon will square off against Thurston at 7:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025. As for McNary, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Beaverton at 7:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
