Harbor Creek is 9-1 against Fort LeBoeuf since April of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Huskies will venture away from home to take on the Bison at 4:00 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
On Friday, Harbor Creek was able to grind out a solid win over Grove City, taking the game 7-3. That four run margin sets a new team best for the Huskies this season.
Noah Sprickman looked comfortable as he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits.
At the plate, Lucas Hanson was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run and four RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Tobias Vahey, who went 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.
Harbor Creek lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've posted since back in May of 2024.
Meanwhile, it may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Fort LeBoeuf ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They walked away with an 11-8 victory over Erie. The game was the first time the Bison have beaten the Royals on their field since April 22, 2022.
Nikolay Bardwell looked comfortable as he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits.
On the hitting side, Fort LeBoeuf got a big performance out of Jackson Lewis, who scored a run while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. The dominant performance also gave Lewis a new career-high in RBI (two). Another player making a difference was Grady Matkovich, who scored three runs and stole two bases.
The win made it two in a row for Fort LeBoeuf and bumps their season record up to 2-2. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games. As for Harbor Creek, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
Harbor Creek beat Fort LeBoeuf 10-6 in their previous matchup back in May of 2023. Do the Huskies have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bison turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
