Volleyball Game Preview: Oviedo Lions vs. Seminole Seminoles

Oviedo is preparing for their first district matchup of the season on Tuesday. They will head out on the road to square off against the Seminole Seminoles at 7:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Oviedo has four straight wins, Seminole has four straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

Oviedo is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Florida's top teams: Lyman, who was ranked eighth at the time (Oviedo was ranked fourth). Oviedo walked away with a 2-0 victory over Lyman on Saturday.

Isaiah Stringer had a dynamite game for Oviedo, getting 30 digs and three assists. Those 30 digs gave Stringer a new career-high.

Meanwhile, Seminole came up short against Academy of Central Florida National on Monday, falling 3-0.

While Seminole was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-22, 25-19.

Seminole's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Oviedo, their win bumped their record up to 5-2.
