Softball Recap: St. Mary's Dominican Takes a Loss

St. Mary's Dominican was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost an 8-6 heartbreaker at the hands of the Lutcher Bulldogs. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat St. Mary's Dominican has suffered against Lutcher since April 1, 2017.

Autum Green and Aubrey Daigrepont stepped up to the plate in a big way. Green scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3, while Daigrepont scored a run while going 3-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Sarah Steeg, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI.

St. Mary's Dominican now has a losing record of 10-11. As for Lutcher, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 17-7.

Looking ahead, St. Mary's Dominican will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Patrick Taylor Science & Tech Academy at 5:00 p.m. As for Lutcher, they are taking a road trip to square off against Berwick at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
