Eleanor Roosevelt suffers fourth straight loss at home

The Eleanor Roosevelt Raiders's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fourth straight loss. They opened the new year with a less-than-successful 77-68 defeat to Wise. Eleanor Roosevelt has not had much luck with Wise recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.

Cayden Hargrove was his usual excellent self, scoring 16 points along with six rebounds and three blocks for Wise. The game was Hargrove's sixth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayson Frost, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds.

Eleanor Roosevelt bumped their record down to 1-9-1 with that loss, which was their fourth straight at home. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.3 points per game. As for Wise, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Eleanor Roosevelt will take on Laurel at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Wise, they will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Douglass at 8:20 p.m. Douglass has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 597 points over their last eight matches.
