West Anchorage faced Chugiak in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Eagles simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Mustangs 35-6. The Eagles have beaten the Mustangs the last six times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Mustangs has come to flipping the script.
West Anchorage was led to victory by Rezhanai Wyche and Ariel Misa. Wyche gained 153 total yards and two touchdowns, while Misa threw for 224 yards and three TDs while picking up 11.2 yards per attempt. What's more, Misa racked up 146.7 passer rating, the most she's had since back in August of 2024. Ashlyn Seryko also helped out with an impressive 94 receiving yards.
