Decatur moved up to 247 from 280 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Southwestern - South. The Raiders were able to make the jump by falling to Watervliet 26-19.
The Panthers extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Decatur, 26-19. The victory was the eighth in a row for Watervliet.
Jake Cowsert put up the best numbers through the air as Jeremy Andrews' team topped Joe Groh's team. He finished with a total of 15 completions for 128 yards and two touchdowns. Cowsert's favorite target this week was Travis Bolin, who caught seven passes for 60 yards.
David Mireles was the most productive running back in the league this week. He ran for 142 yards on 19 carries as Hartford fell to the Panthers. Teammate Gareth MacMillan added to the ground attack by rushing for 73 yards.
Glidden was the best wideout in Southwestern - South this week as Decatur fell to Watervliet. Glidden racked up four receptions for 112 yards. Mathew Botti helped Decatur's passing attack out by catching two balls for 74 yards.
T.J. Cerven provided a threat through the air and on the ground as the Raiders lost to the Panthers. He completed 13 passes for 286 yards and also ran for 31 yards.
Watervliet's Cowsert and Bolin have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Cowsert has thrown for 1442 yards this season, while Bolin, a 5-foot-9 receiver, has 37 catches for 872 yards. Mireles from the Indians leads the league in rushing with 1016 yards.
Lawton took down Lawrence 62-18 last week, the largest margin of any game.
