Menchville is a perfect 10-0 against Phoebus since March of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Monarchs will square off against the Phantoms at 4:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Menchville has three straight wins, Phoebus has five straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Menchville had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the seven-run drubbing they dealt Hampton on Thursday. The Monarchs put the hurt on the Crabbers with a sharp 7-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Monarchs, who have now won six games by seven runs or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, Phoebus fell victim to Gloucester and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They lost 19-0 to the Dukes.

Phoebus' loss dropped their record down to 4-12. As for Menchville, their win bumped their record up to 10-6.

Menchville took their victory against Phoebus in their previous meeting back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 14-0 score. Will the Monarchs repeat their success, or do the Phantoms have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
