Columbia won the last time they faced Middleburg, and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Columbia Tigers had just enough and edged the Middleburg Broncos out 2-1. Even though the Tigers got in a bit of trouble with the refs ( Jonathan Pineda was handed a red card), the team managed to overcome the adversity.

Nathan Matsubara and Peyton Palmer scored both of Columbia's goals, bringing their combined season tally to four goals.

Columbia now has a winning record of 2-1-2. As for Middleburg, they dropped their record down to 2-4 with the loss, which was their third straight at home.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Columbia is on the road again on Friday to play Santa Fe at 7:00 p.m. As for Middleburg, they will venture away from home to square off against Clay at 7:20 p.m. on Friday.
