It was a good run, but Effingham unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Tuesday. The matchup between them and the Taylorville Tornadoes didn't end well, with the Effingham Hearts falling 55-41. The Hearts were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Tornadoes earlier this season, when they won 45-31.

Effingham's loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 15-4. As for Taylorville, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Effingham won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Paris at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Taylorville, they will square off against Charleston at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
