Baseball Recap: Our Lady of the Lakes Comes Up Short

Our Lady of the Lakes and Shrine Catholic squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Our Lady of the Lakes had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Knights by a score of 3-1. Having soared to a lofty 13 runs in the game before, the Lakers couldn't push the score so high this time.

Our Lady of the Lakes' defeat dropped their record down to 5-14. As for Shrine Catholic, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-8 record this season.

Our Lady of the Lakes does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Shrine Catholic, they will face off against Plymouth Christian Academy on Saturday. The Eagles will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something the Knights surely won't give up without a fight.
