Basketball Recap: Corinth Comes Up Short

After flying high against Byhalia last Friday, Corinth came back down to earth. The Corinth Warriors were outmatched by the New Hope Trojans and fell 67-21. The loss continues a trend for the Warriors in their matchups with the Trojans: they've now lost three in a row.

Corinth's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for New Hope, they pushed their record up to 6-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Corinth will head out to challenge Clarksdale at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Corinth is facing Clarksdale at the right time seeing as Clarksdale is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for New Hope, they will face off against West Point at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. New Hope will also cruise into their next contest with the timing on their side: West Point will have lost 11 straight heading into Friday's matchup.
